120,000 students gear up for 100PLUS Super Cup

Over 120,000 students from over 2,000 schools throughout the country will compete in the inaugural 100PLUS Super Cup football programme which was officially launched at Wisma FAM in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

The 100PLUS Super Cup, which involves the Ministry of Education and 100PLUS, Malaysia's No. 1 isotonic sports drink, is a nationwide inter-school football programme for three age-group categories - U-12, U-15 and U-18.

The programme, costing RM1.5 million over the next two years, is jointly managed by 100PLUS and the Malaysian Sports Council (MSSM).

The funds from the sponsorship will go towards organisational costs, purchase of football equipment, jerseys, trophies and equipment. In addition, 100PLUS will be provided to all players during competitions.

"100PLUS strongly believes in junior development programmes. Our track record in recent years show just how serious we are about contributing to the improvement of sport," said Chris Ng, Country Marketing Head, regional Office of Fraser & Neave (Singapore) Pte Ltd.
